for piano

Gary Higginson

£8.45

The style is accessible, often tonally based, but never clichéd.
Murray McLachlan, International Piano (September/October 2010 p72)
[Higginson’s] collection of eight pieces inspired by some of Shakespeare’s most famous lines could be especially valuable for enterprising students immediately after Grade 8.
Murray McLachlan, International Piano (September/October 2010 p72)

Scenes from Shakespeare is a follow-up volume to Shadows, and is a set of eight pieces for pianists of higher grade, each prefaced by a quotation from Shakespeare.

A CD of Gary Higginson’s music, entitled Scenes and Messages [SH209], has been released on the Sheva Collection label. These pieces are performed on that disc, and the samples provided here are taken from this recording by courtesy of Sheva Collection and the composer.
